The Holy month of Ramadan 2018 is about to arrive with the countless blessing from Allah for the Muslims. Most of the time, patients with such a disease are advised by the physicians to reduce their intake of fluid for about two liters and the intake of sodium or salt is limited to less than 2500mg. The recent research proved the fact that fasting reduces the amount of fluid intake and sodium as well, leaving a stable impact on their heart. Ramadan Fasting is Safe

Fasting during the month of Ramadan is considered as safe for most of the patients with chronic cardiovascular failure and reduced ejection fraction. The only thing that needs to be monitored for the patients is to abstain from salt and fluid intake. For the medications that they take, use only two doses of drugs with a gap of Sehar and Iftaar. However, more research is needed to examine the type of patients with heart failure is safe to fast during Ramadan or whether they need to categorize any type of subgroups for whom Ramadan fasting can lead to a health hazard.
